About

I’ve seen what happens when 2,000 people are handed AI at once.

I helped lead AI adoption at Macquarie Group, across more than 2,000 people in its banking division.

What I saw

A business that size can absorb its mistakes. Yours can’t.

Endless resources change what a mistake costs: you get it wrong and pay from a budget line nobody questions. A smaller business doesn’t have that line.

  • Tools handed out with no training

Everyone gets access on the same day, and nobody is told what the thing is actually good at.

  • Everything attempted at once

A dozen pilots run in parallel, hoping one of them sticks. None of them finish.

  • Assuming AI can do more than it can

The plan assumes a capability the tools don't have yet, so the work quietly falls back to people.

None of those needed a bad decision to happen: unlimited budget and no direction produce them on their own, which is why I’d rather tell you what to leave alone than sell you all of it.

What came of it

Three things worth pointing at

  • Software delivery time cut by roughly half across the teams I trained.
  • Adoption that landed at every level, from executives to business analysts.
  • A governance model for non-deterministic tools that survives financial regulation.

In April 2026 APRA wrote to every entity it regulates: its standards already apply to AI, and it will escalate to enforcement where that risk isn’t controlled. I helped build the governance model to that bar. It loosens to fit a business nobody regulates — building it the other way round, after something has gone wrong, is much harder.

How the work gets sorted before any of it is priced

Why hire this out at all

I’m Gen AI, not Gen Z

The instinct when a business feels behind on AI is to hire for it, usually someone younger who supposedly just gets it. But fluency with AI has to be learned — familiarity with technology doesn’t supply it, and I’ve spent years doing exactly that.

Close the gap with the people you already have.
